Mason Ho's signature version of Softech's popular Coaster combines a wide, stable outline with plenty of volume to create a soft top surfboard that's easy to paddle, easy to catch waves on and enjoyable across a wide range of surfing abilities.

For beginners, the generous outline and high volume provide a stable platform for learning the fundamentals of surfing. The extra buoyancy makes paddling and catching waves easier, while the forgiving softboard construction helps build confidence as you progress from riding whitewater to catching unbroken waves.

But the Mason Ho Coaster isn't limited to learners. Softech designed the Coaster as a versatile everyday softboard, making it equally appealing to experienced surfers looking for a fun alternative when the waves are small, crowded or simply calling for something different.

An EPS core with two stringers provides the three sizes we stock with a combination of buoyancy and structural support. The board runs an FCS II thruster fin setup, allowing compatible FCS II fins to be inserted and removed without screws or tools. Fins are included, along with a fitted leash plug and convenient carry handle.

Why You’ll Love It

The Softech Mason Ho Coaster hits a particularly useful middle ground. There's enough width, volume and stability to make catching waves easier for beginners, but it's not a softboard you'll necessarily grow out of once your surfing improves. More experienced surfers can still pull it out when conditions are small and turn an average surf into a fun session.
