The Torq TEC Rusty SD Surfboard combines the legendary shaping expertise of Rusty Preisendorfer with Torq's advanced TEC epoxy construction to create a versatile, high-performance shortboard that's built for everyday surfing. Designed to excel across a wide range of conditions, the Rusty SD offers the perfect balance of paddle power, speed and responsiveness, making it an excellent one-board quiver for intermediate to advanced surfers.

The SD (Shortboard Design) features a refined performance outline with just enough volume under the chest to improve paddling and wave catching without sacrificing the quick, lively feel of a modern shortboard. A balanced rocker provides effortless acceleration while maintaining control through steeper sections, allowing the board to perform equally well in average beach breaks or quality point and reef waves.

The bottom contour features a single concave flowing into a double concave through the fins, generating lift, speed and smooth rail-to-rail transitions. Combined with medium-performance rails and a responsive squash tail, the SD offers excellent drive through turns while remaining forgiving enough for everyday conditions.

Built using Torq TEC construction, the Rusty SD utilises a lightweight EPS core, biaxial fibreglass, epoxy resin and carbon reinforcement to produce a board that's lighter, stronger and more durable than traditional PU surfboards. The result is lively flex, rapid acceleration and exceptional durability without compromising performance.
