FCS II Pivot II PG Longboard Fin

The FCS II Pivot II PG Longboard Fin is an upright, low-sweep single fin designed for traditional longboarding, tight pivot turns and confident noseriding.

With its minimal sweep and broad fin area, the Pivot II is designed to let you turn your longboard tightly from the tail, lock the rail into the wave face and then move forward to the nose. FCS specifically describes the larger Pivot II sizes as ideal for logs and noseriding.

Designed to Pivot in the Pocket

Where a more raked longboard fin encourages longer, drawn-out carving turns, the Pivot II uses an upright template with minimal sweep to create a looser feel and tighter turning radius.

This allows you to step back onto the tail and pivot the board through tighter turns, making it particularly well suited to traditional longboards and logs where quick directional changes are needed before setting the board into trim.

It's a very different feel from the FCS Flow II we've just worked on: the Flow II is about rake, drive and longer arcs, while the Pivot II prioritises pivot, tighter turns and noseriding control.

Hold for Noseriding

Once you've turned and established your line, the substantial area of the Pivot II helps provide the hold needed to lock the rail into the wave face and run the nose.

Performance Glass Construction

The FCS II Pivot II is constructed from Performance Glass (PG).

Performance Glass fins are machine-cut from layers of solid fibreglass, producing a stiff and responsive fin that maintains the integrity of its flex under significant force.

For a traditional longboard fin, this provides a solid and predictable connection through the tail, helping the fin maintain control while turning and providing dependable hold when you're forward on the board.

FCS II Tool-Less Longboard System

The Pivot II uses the FCS II Tool-Less Longboard System, eliminating the traditional screw and plate.

The fin can be installed, removed and repositioned within the fin box without a fin key. FCS designed the system to work with most existing longboard fin boxes without requiring a new box.

This also makes experimenting with fin placement easy. You can adjust the position of the Pivot II to fine-tune the balance between manoeuvrability and hold for your particular longboard.

Available Sizes

The FCS II Pivot II PG is available in three sizes:

• 9.75" – 7.29" base / 9.75" depth / 52.08 sq in area
• 10.25" – 7.66" base / 10.25" depth / 57.49 sq in area
• 10.75" – 8.03" base / 10.75" depth / 63.31 sq in area

All three sizes feature a 27.7° sweep and 50/50 foil.
