Inspired by Tom Carroll's pursuit of speed and paddle efficiency on the outer reefs of Hawaii's North Shore, the Outer Reef MX features softened versions of the award-winning Loose Leaf and Long Grain hull designs. The result is a forgiving, high-volume SUP that glides effortlessly across flat water while remaining responsive when catching and riding waves.

The 10'6" model measures 32" wide, carries 165 litres of volume, and is recommended for intermediate paddlers 85kg or less. The generous dimensions provide outstanding stability without feeling sluggish, making longer paddles more enjoyable while still allowing smooth, flowing turns when surfing.

Its sophisticated bottom contours include a deep double concave displacement nose that reduces slapping and improves glide, flowing into subtle concave and a pronounced spiral vee through the tail. This combination maintains speed, enhances rail-to-rail transitions and delivers surprising manoeuvrability for a board of this size. The relaxed rocker profile promotes effortless paddling and wave entry while allowing movement from the tail right through to the nose.

Built using Tom Carroll's durable MX moulded epoxy construction, the Outer Reef delivers an excellent balance of weight, strength and longevity. The high-pressure moulding process combines an EPS core with multiple fibreglass layers and carbon-enhanced epoxy resin to produce a board that's tough enough for everyday use while maintaining lively on-water performance.

Supplied in a versatile 2 + 1 fin setup, the board includes a custom 9" TCPS centre fin and FCS II GL side fins, allowing efficient flatwater tracking while providing excellent control and manoeuvrability when surfing.
